This is a Partner's Night

A Musical Night full of fun, laughter and Mystery!! 2nd June 2022 Papanui Club. 6pm - 8pm

Each member is asked to contribute one song to add variety to this Partners evening

Please email Deryn with your song selection, and the Fellowship Committee will take it all from there!

We have several items from the 60's onwards, that would have been donated to an op shop had we not taken them. We will offer to sell or auction anything on the night. Old glasses, jugs, fancy bottle, plates and other glassware, doilies etc. along with a musical decanter. Nothing of any particular value, but could be of interest to those of us who have lived through that era. If not, they can still go to an op shop.

Kate spoke to us some time ago re travel options with Glovis.  She will be giving us an update re how travel has changed since Covid and developing opportunities as the world increasingly opens up going forward.

Its Changeover night!  We have PHFs to award plus a mystery guest.to share her talent with us. 

Members from the Papanui-Innes Community Board are joining us and will be presenting an award to a Club Member after the meal.

Anna is the Rotary Regionalisation District Rep D9970 and will be explaining to us the Pilot proposal which all Zone 8 Clubs need to vote on. Nick will be introducing her to us.

A happy crew will pack foodbank boxes for the community at Kilmarnock Street.

Kristie will talk about her Charitable Trust set up to educate folk about Eating Disorders.

Leah World will highlight the benefits of the Peer Support programme at Papanui High School that our club supports.

We may well be asked to participate in some of their fun activities.

Unfortunately this weeks speaker Rebecca Nelson,  has lost her voice and is in isolation - so I am working on a a new date for her.

Lane will be speaking to us about his life since moving back to the US, his Rotary involvement (has been club President) and why he is back in New Zealand.

New member Shuen will talk about his work and career.

Diedr. and ouise will speak to us about Community Wellness.

Join us in this worthwhile and enjoyable project where work and fun go hand in hand for a couple of hours.

Nicola is Chief Executive of the Cancer Society Christchurch and will speak to us about the new Cancer Care building now in the construction stage next to the new Braintree Wellness Centre in Langdons Road.

Barbara Chapman and Samantha Murray from the Canterbury medical Research Foundation will speak about their work, with special reference to rare disease treatment and their success treating children affected.

We celebrate Ron Sedgley's anniversary of 50 yearsin Rotary with our club.

Rebecca is an enthusiastic and engaging speaker, a professional singer, and a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy Reserves. 

 The vintage fashion parade is happening  in 2022 , on Sunday 11 September- exactly a year after it was originally planned.  Come and join the fun and marvel at our models in their classic vintage attire.

We will be enhancing the school environment for the children at Aratupu.

Papanui Rotary are assisting the Braintree organisation by helping at their fundraising golf tournament.

We will be wanting enthusiastic volunteers on the  day. More details to follow shortly.

We will be lending a helping hand at Aratupu Preschool with their annual Market Day.

We assisted last year and this proved to be a successful fundraiser for the school.
