From late November until Xmas Eve, Papanui Rotary collected donated gifts left by the public at our annual Tree of Giving in Northlands Mall. This year it started off slowly but by the end of the 1st week in December we were inundated with beautiful gifts. We wish to thank the team who helped sort and deliver them to 4 different organisations and thank the Management Staff at Northlands who also collected the gifts as some had unfortunately been stolen! This year we packed 36 banana boxes and donated them to The Presbyterian Support, Birthright, Barnardos, and Christchurch City Mission. All organisations were very grateful to receive them. Another 4 boxes of gifts left on Xmas Eve will be delivered to The Aunties this week. |
